Brut Noirs & Blancs - Xavier Rousset (Master Sommelier, Sommelier of the Year 2002, Chef Sommelier at Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons since 2004) gave this particular Champagne 8 out of 10 for quality! As a result of a blend of different years incorporating 50% of reserve wines, this Champagne is a typical Chardonnay-based Champagne, with a bouquet of brioche and almond, lemony and green apple aromas (60% Chardonnay; 40% Pinot Noir). This elegant and delicate, yet completely mature, wine is ideal as an apéritif. Xavier Rousset's favourite Pierrel Champagne reflects our company's policy best: high standards in quality at a true value-for-money basis! Judges' tasting notes at the 2007 International Wine Challenge: Light nose, some toast, good rich body, nice finish and good length. SILVER MEDAL..... Now supplied to Claridges.
Brut Blanc de Blancs - Made entirely of the finest white Chardonnay grapes, this Champagne wine has been masterfully developed to allow its subtle floral aromas to come through......Now supplied to Claridges.
Brut Rosé - 60% Chardonnay; 40% Pinot Noir. With a dominance of Chardonnay and after a minimum of three years aging in a cellar, this a Champagne showing freshness and finesse, which will delight the Amateur of Champagne Rosé. The Pinot Noir with red fruit aromas perfectly complements the floral notes. Attractive hue, delicate and tiny bubbles, with a light white foam. Compliments lamb and sweet-and-sour dishes superbly well. Also stunning served with cold desserts. Judges' tasting notes at the 2007 International Wine Challenge: Pale salmon colour, strawberries on nose. Palate is quite toasty, good mousse, savoury and full bodied. SILVER MEDAL.
Brut Vintage 2000 - The Côte des Blancs is reputed for the quality of its white Chardonnay grape, used here for the production of this Brut Blanc de Blancs Vintage. It is made exclusively from the harvest of one year, when the Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs shows a perfect maturity. With more than five years of aging, this Vintage 2000 is a wine of distinction and complexity, with a brioche and toasted-bread bouquet.
Brut Vintage Cuvée Prestige 1996 - The finest jewel of the "Traditions" range from Pierrel. Particular care and attention are given to the production of this special and limited Cuvée, made from 90% white Chardonnay grapes and 10% red Pinot Noir grapes, carefully selected from the harvest of 1996, when we were blessed with exceptional quality. In a prestigious bottle, this Champagne is showing a particular finesse, with elegant floral aromas, brioche and almond notes.
